MEMPHIS — Those who wondered how Holly Springs senior Seth Adams, a one-time walk-on, would respond to becoming Ole Miss' starting quarterback got their answer quickly and with emphasis.

On the Rebels' first offensive possession of 2007, Adams took them 92 yards on 11 plays. He completed all three of his passes for 44 yards and then hit Greg Hardy with a perfectly timed lob in the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown.

You really couldn't have drawn it up any better.

"We started out fast and really did some good things," Adams said afterward. "Give credit to the guys around me. The protection was great and the receivers made plays."
