Fire Ed Orgeron

Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron is definitely on the hotseat in 2007.

According to Rivals.com, "The Rebels haven't suffered three consecutive losing seasons under the same head coach since 1980-82. Orgeron, who is hoping to avoid a similar trifecta, has recruited well - though it hasn't shown in the results. Ole Miss has posted records of 3-8 and 4-8 in his two seasons in Oxford. David Cutcliffe, Orgeron's predecessor, posted five winning seasons and then was canned after one bad year. How much more slack will Orgeron be given?" Well, how much more slack will Orgeron get? Can he save his job this season?

Its about time Orgeron and his 2 flunkies from Miami find a new place to work. We didn't steal these bums from Miami, they got fired for similar performances against SEC schools. How are we gonna get an upset against a big school when we can't even win the ones we are supposed to? By the way take Pete Boone with you!

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, coreylane, and thanks for joining us! I see where this is the fourth straight time the Rebels have lost their conference opener. Think a coaching change is forthcoming? If so, how soon, and who would you like to see take over the reigns at Ole Miss?

Re: Fire Ed Orgeron

I certainly feel it is time for Orgeron to go!! Ole Miss isn't losing games because we lack talent. We are making the same mistakes every game, and self destructing in the 4th quater. The explanation is the coaching. A Head Coach who has never been a head Coach before and an Offensive Coordinator who proved at Miami that he couldn't win a big game (LSU vs Miami 43-3) and we wonder why we can't win. If Boone was going to fire Cutcliffe I would have loved to have seen him go after Ron Zook, look what he has done at Illinois. Now we need to be looking at sucessful Coaches at smaller schools. For Example the Coach at East Carolina, Georgia Southern, or Valdosta State. These are all coaches that know how to win. Losing week in and week out is a hard thing for players to deal with especially if they don't remember how to win.
