John Jerry, Corey Actis and Reid Neely return to practice

OXFORD — Ole Miss coach Ed Orgeron welcomed the banged-up members of his offensive line back to practice Tuesday.

Orgeron said right guard John Jerry, center Corey Actis and left guard Reid Neely returned to the field after missing time with undisclosed injuries last week.

The trio of starters did not participate in last Saturday’s “Meet the Rebels Day” scrimmage. Orgeron said their absence had an obvious effect on the offense.
“We had seven sacks and eight tackles for loss,” Orgeron said. “I think those guys had a lot to prove out there (Tuesday).”

Orgeron said tight end Robert Lane — who also missed the scrimmage — was back at practice, as well. With the starting group back intact, Orgeron said Ole Miss’ ground game turned in a strong performance.
