OXFORD — His legs churned and churned and churned all season.
He ducked his shoulders, absorbed blows and bulled his way between the tackles again and again and again.

There was nothing easy about Ole Miss running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis' 1,000-yard season, which was just the fourth in school history. In fact, it should be considered a Herculean effort, considering Ole Miss' offensive line was searching for consistency and its passing attack was non-existent.

But save all the compliments and pats on the back for the hard-nosed tailback, whose ability to shoulder the offensive load virtually on his own last season was an impressive feat. He doesn't want to hear it this fall.

"The 1,000 rushing yards wasn't enough," Green-Ellis said. "The receiving yards wasn't enough. The pass blocking wasn't enough. Nothing was enough because we didn't have a winning season.
