Cool Re: Sutton Retires

Now he can sit and booze it up all day if he wants. I just hope he doesn't get behind the wheel of a car.

Re: Sutton Retires

Sutton was a great coach that made a mistake or two; just like the rest of us. Winning 798 games is a great accomplishment and I wish him the best of luck in the future...

Re: Sutton Retires

I thought it was already official that he retired after his arrest. It was then that his son took over head coaching duties with the knowledge that he was now the Cowboys coach. Eddie Sutton was a very good coach that lasted a long time. He took 3? teams to the final 4? Arkansas? Kentucky and Oklahoma State? It is too bad that he now likely will be remembered for driving under the influence instead of for his coaching.

Time heal all wounds...in time the Record will stand above the personal problems...even Richard Nixon moved on to being an "Elder Statesman" as time went on...
