LOUISVILLE — Zack Pitts couldn’t have scripted a better day even if had the writers from Disney working on this one.

On a day he was going against one of college baseball’s most storied programs with one of the best lineups, Pitts, a 6-foot-3 junior, pitched one of the best games of his Louisville career to lead the Cardinals to a 9-0 rout of the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Game 1 of their Super Regional at Jim Patterson Stadium.

Besides winning the biggest game of his collegiate career, Pitts was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 30th round the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.
