With a week of finals behind them the 17th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys hope to get back on track when they take the field against Bedlam rival Oklahoma at Driller Stadium in Tulsa on Friday. The Cowboys were held in check versus Texas last weekend. The vaulted home lineup was held to just four runs and was the victim of a sweep at the hands of Texas.
The Sooners also struggled on their home field last weekend. OU was beaten by Kansas in the final two games of their series. The one Sooner win came with Stephen Porlier on the mound on Friday. Porlier is having an outstanding season for the Sooners. The Tulane transfer leads the Big 12 in Strikeouts with 79.
Poke fans have no problem remember the drama that took place last year in Bedlam. After completing a regular season sweep of the Sooners, including two shutouts, the coaches of both teams came close to blows in a very heated argument. The Sooners would end up having the last laugh when they scored 14 unearned runs to win 21-6 in a match up in the Big 12 tournament.
