Cowboys re-sign wideout Crayton
NFL News - 8 hours ago
IRVING, Texas (April 5, 2007) -- Patrick Crayton re-signed with the Dallas Cowboys to remain the No. 3 receiver behind Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn.

The Cowboys offered Crayton, who was a restricted free agent, a one-year tender to remain with the team. The signing was announced April 5.

Crayton played in all 16 games last season, his third with the Cowboys since being a seventh-round pick out of Northwestern Oklahoma State in 2004. He had a career-high 36 catches for 516 yards and four touchdowns last season and returned 11 punts for 85 yards.

Good idea keeping him around. Crayton had a career year in 2007, and Glenn can't play forever.

I would leverage that career year and trade him...not sold on him...

And speaking of Glenn...did he not come out of the same 1996 draft as TO?...both wideouts are about the same age,

Huh, right you are Goth. In fact, Glenn (32) is slightly younger than TO (33). So why does it seem like he's been around so much longer?

Not sure...cause TO talks a bunch...but it jsut seems Glenn has had a few careers...broke in big with the Pats...then disappeared...then reinvented himself...makes it seem like he got old in the process...TO has posted a lot of solid seasons and no one has made an issue of age yet.

Maybe a guy gets a free pass on his age when he's a consensus Top 5 NFL receiver?

And, yes, as much as I dislike the guy, I can admit that he IS a consensus Top 5 NFL receiver. Happy?
