Re: Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State

This weekend, the Oklahoma State Cowboys will open their 2006 Big 12 campaign with a game at Kansas State. OSU, 3-1 on the year, is looking to rebound from a 34-25 loss to Houston on Sept. 23. How do you think they'll fare against the 3-2 Wildcats? Who are the players to watch in this one?

Come on, guys. Who wins this game, and what will the final score be? Guess right, and you could win free football tickets! That's right -- GoTeamsGo is giving away $300 in football tickets. Just pick the winner and the score for both teams in this game (or any other college football match-up) and you could win tickets to see a game live! Check out the official contest rules thread for more information. Then, if you haven't already, come back here and correctly predict the victory and final score in this weekend's OSU - KSU showdown!

Re: Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State

This is a game with two teams unlikely to play in any bowl game this season. K State has been awful while Okie State has looked good and bad. Okie State should win this game handily. I expect a score close to 31-10.

Bit of a surprise, here, in that the Wildcats win the game 31-27. What happened to the Cowboys in this one?

Re: Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State

Okie State is a bad team. They can't compete with OU in recruiting in the state. They have a young coach who I don't think was ready for the task when it was given to him. They are in Stillwater, which is perhaps their biggest problem. I am not sure what it would take to right their ship.

Re: Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State

Oklahoma State isn't that bad of a team to be quite honest. They have plenty of talent to win a fair share of games in the Big 12. However, they lack toughness and killer instinct just like their head coach. When Les Miles was there, they were tough and could actually put teams away in the fourth quarter. They weren't great by any means, but they were very respectable.

Mike Gundy is a great guy, don't get me wrong. He is just too darn soft as a head coach. That kind of emotion rubs off on the players without a doubt. I can't stand Oklahoma, but if you put Bob Stoops on the Oklahoma State sideline, they are 5-0 right now without a doubt.

They built a 27-17 lead against K-State in Manhattan (a tough place to play regardless of how good they are), but they completely blew it.

They will probably lose to Kansas this weekend as well. They need to learn to punch each other in the mouth a time or time to get fired up.
