Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said he missed his daily talks with the media following his 10-day blackout for the players and himself.
After all, that was his chance to kill 10 minutes while players were doing extra conditioning work. All Gundy could do was head to the Cowboys’ new spacious, first-class locker room to wait for meetings to begin. On second thought, maybe it was a surprise that Gundy lifted the ban at all.
What wasn’t a surprise, however, was the excitement his team showed during Monday’s first weekly press conference, just six days prior to its season-opening showdown with Georgia on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium.
