It may just be a minor hamstring injury, but it’s a hamstring injury that put chills up and down the collective spine of everything Oklahoma State football.
OSU quarterback Zac Robinson’s upper leg is the most important body part dressed in any shade of orange this year. And with his recent injury, however minor it may be, the Cowboys’ season instantly gets re-evaluated.
Will this injury hold him out for an extended time? Not a chance. But there’s no way around the fact that Brandon Weeden and Alex Cate are far from Robinson — neither has yet to make strides to claim the backup position, let alone the possible starting slot if Robinson goes down.
Robinson has become the only player on Oklahoma State’s roster that is absolutely irreplaceable. He may be the only player in the country that his entire team’s season relies on.
