Re: Big 12 Predictions

With the dismissal of Rhett Bomar & J.D. Quinn, I don't see the Sooners beating Texas. Of course, the Longhorns could beat themselves but I'd flip flop the media vote and put TX at 1 & OU at #2 in the South.

I'll take Nebraska over Texas in the title game.

Who's got the next prediction?

Re: Big 12 Predictions

Yeah, Texas definitely over OU in the South now. Nebraska is the North favorite but don't sleep on those Cyclones of Iowa State; word is they've got an awesome offense led by junior QB Bret Meyer.

Re: Big 12 Predictions

I don't think they will win the south, but Baylor could end up 3rd in the south with some luck. They have also supposedly been on fire as far as committments for next season.

Re: Big 12 Predictions

Baylor will be interesting to watch this season. They're switching to a Texas Tech style spread offense, thanks to new offensive coordinator Lee Hays. Running the show will be Shawn Bell, a senior QB who set a university record for completion percentage last year (59.4%). Their top reciver Dominique Zeigler (47 catches, 5 scores) is also back, and both he and counterpart Trent Shelton are seniors, so this could be one fun offense to watch.

Unlike A&M and Francionne, they have a coach that players want to play for. They could be very good in a few years. The main thing they have going against them is being located in Waco--yuck!!
