| Oklahoma vs. Tulsa Look out, Tulsa, because here come the Oklahoma Sooners. OU has been seemingly invincible. They have the #1 ranked scoring offense in major college football (61.3 ppg) and are averaging 565.3 yards per contest. As if that wasn't enough, they have the 6th best scoring defense in the NCAA (8.7 ppg) and are surrendering fewer than 180 yards per game to their opponents. Look for the Sooners to win this one in a rout.

| Re: Oklahoma vs. Tulsa Hey Lefty, If TU can get their defense playing at (or near) the same level as the offense then OU will have a good game on their hands. I think Paul Smith and his junior receiving corps will put on a good showing. One of the TU freshmen receivers has three catches this season, all for TDs. TU left Norman with a lot of respect in the last meeting of these two teams, and the game was a lot closer than the score reflects. Late miscues cost Tulsa a possible win in Norman. This just might be their year! |

| Re: Oklahoma vs. Tulsa True enough, OU is a different team. But so is Tulsa, with a much improved receiving corp, a no huddle offense, and a senior QB who plays the game brilliantly. By that I mean few mistakes- he takes what the defense will give him. Passing or running, he is a threat, makes excellent reads and controls the pace of the game very well. Bradford has played extremely well for OU, but he is a freshman with only three games under his belt. This might be the weekend fora few frosh mistakes! As a long time TU fan, I gotta keep the faith. I know OU will likely win, but I also know TU will give them their toughest game so far this season. TU plays smart football and is a disciplined team. The are also probably the best conditioned athletes OU will line up against this year. I just want to see a good game tomorrow night, and we'll be there in the bleachers like we are for every game! And by the way, Tulsa is the Golden Hurricane. Tulane is The Green Wave... |

| Re: Oklahoma vs. Tulsa Another week, another big win for the Oklahoma Sooners. According to the Associated Press, "Allen Patrick ran for 145 yards and two TDs, Sam Bradford threw two long touchdown passes to Juaquin Iglesias and the Sooners outraced Tulsa 62-21 Friday night... DeMarco Murray made it into the end zone three times for the highest-scoring team in the nation -- twice on runs and once on a kickoff return... The Sooners (4-0) have put up at least 50 points in all four games. That's only the second time in school history they've had such a streak -- they also did it in 2003, capped by a 65-13 romp over Texas." For my money, this is absolutely the team to beat in the NCAA this year. NCAA Football - Oklahoma Sooners/Tulsa Golden Hurricane Recap Friday September 21, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports |
