Oklahoma vs. Miami

Oh, am I ever looking forward to this match-up. Oklahoma tore through North Texas in their season opener, with Sam Bradford throwing for 363 yards and three touchdowns and freshman DeMarco Murray scoring five (yes, FIVE) touchdowns in a 79-10 thrashing of the Mean Green. They won't find the Hurricanes to be such an easy opponent. The Hurricanes defense had four interceptions and six sacks against Marshall, and tailbacks Graig Cooper and Javarris James combined to rush for 215 yards. Will the Sooners be able to overcome Randy Shannon's revitalized Canes?

Re: Oklahoma vs. Miami

I agree that the Sooners won't find it as easy against the Hurricanes, but the Sooners had three interceptions of there own and have all the tools that the Hurricane have. It should be a great game and I can tell you that both teams have tremendous speed on both sides of the ball. I can't wait to kick the ball off and see if the youth can handle the pressure Miami brings and if the Sooners defense can live up to what they are capable of.

Welcome aboard, rickyt, and thanks for joining us! Definitely agree with you about the Sooners defense. Yeah, it was just North Texas, but they did play strong and should match-up well against the Canes offense. How about this stud running back OU found? Adrian who?

Re: Oklahoma vs. Miami

Is it Adrian,Reggie nooo it's Demarco Murray and here in Sooner land we have seen quite a few great backs and in my humble opinion he will be the next one. I think that Keven Wilson's Northwestern ties will be able to fit him into our offense very similar to what USC did with Bush. Only time will tell but this team has a bright future if not this year then certainly next.

I can't see Miami pulling off the upset this year versus Oklahoma. The Okies will be on a roll.

Oh, I definitely agree with you. Yes, it was just North Texas, but the dude's a freshman and he has five touchdowns in his first game? Incredible!

Re: Oklahoma vs. Miami

It certainly was an incredible start for him and for Bradford and a huge offensive lineman named Loadholt. Those guys were all very impressive for there first ever starts. Thanks for letting me join the site and I will look forward to bantering back and forth from time to time..

Re: Oklahoma vs. Miami

The Sooners are all over Miami on this one...Kelly has to catches for TD already and Smith raced off with a fumble 60 yards for a score. The Miami O can't get on track either.

If Miami's defense is as good as everyone says and this happening imagin if they had a bad defense

Yeah, just saw that fumble return. Oklahoma's looking to make a statement with this one. To Miami's credit, though, they are playing pretty well against the run.

They were not right off the bat they were giving up 5 or 6 yards a carry for a while

Hmm, well, flipping back and forth between this one and the WVU game, so... what I've seen's looked pretty solid, at any rate.

They are looking very good seeing as they just scored but right away the Sooner were running all over them

Re: Oklahoma vs. Miami

Big statement win for the Sooners, 51-13. Sam Bradford threw for 5 TDs and their defense held the Canes to 139 total yards of offense.
