| Oklahoma Must Forfeit 2005 Football Season The NCAA came down hard on the Oklahoma Sooners. The punishment comes from finding out players were being paid for jobs that they never did. According to ABCNews, Oklahoma must erase all of their wins from the 2005 season (including their Bowl victory) and forfeit two scholarships for the next two seasons. Plus, the Sooners will be on probation until May of 2010. Oklahoma plans to appeal the NCAA's decision about erasing the wins. |

| Re: Oklahoma Must Forfeit 2005 Football Season So Rhett Bomar and offensive lineman J.D. Quinn were the guilty parties, eh? Tough penalties. The NCAA must've really thought the situation was out of control. Interesting to note that even though Stoops will lose the wins, they won't be added to his career record as losses. Um, why's that?

| Re: Oklahoma Must Forfeit 2005 Football Season Oklahoma seems to have these problems all across the board, not just in football. Just last year it was their basketball and gymnastics programs that were penalized. Apparently, in Oklahoma they feel rules are just minro annoyances that should be ignored because all they get is a slap on the wrist, nothing with any teeth in it. They should be banned from any bowl game for a year to get their attention for once. |
