| Tom Brahaney Hall of Fame From one of the most storied football programs in history, Tom Brahaney continues the legacy of outstanding Oklahoma players in the College Football Hall of Fame. Brahaney became the 23rd Sooner (18 players, five coaches) inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Wednesday. A two-time consensus First Team All-America ('71, '72), Brahaney was the hub of an offensive line that allowed the Sooners to lead the nation in rushing, scoring and total offense in 1971. The Midland, Texas, native was also a two-time All-Big-8 selection and a Lombardi Award finalist in 1972. Brahaney in College FB Hall of Fame |

| Re: Tom Brahaney Hall of Fame Brahaney is honetly one of the best men i've ever met. a quite unassuming demeanor who never boast nor broaches any topic relating to his accomplishments. in fact, he and his most fierce foe that played nose-guard, Rich Glover for Nebraska during Brahaney's collegiate years has become pretty good friends in later years. Glover was coaching at, think it was New Mexico State, not that far from Midland...at which time he and Brahaney stayed in close contact, whose families would spend some time together. Last time i spoke with Brahaney, he had not heard from Glover in a while (i'm guessing 3 or 4 months) and was thinking perhaps Glover was let-go or had taken another coaching position at his own descretion...regardless Tom was waiting to hear from Glover, did not feel it was an appropriate time to call too see what was going on. |
