OU, Nebraska Pregame Quotes

OU Players & Coaches on Cornhuskers
HEAD COACH BOB STOOPS
"I’m excited to be here this week — an extra week, playing in the championship game. I appreciate the way our players played last week, giving ourselves an opportunity to earn our way in. We played an exciting and good football game at Oklahoma State. I’m pleased with the way we’re able to play as a team... In a lot of areas of that game, I thought we didn’t play maybe as well as we had been in some areas and we were still able to win. Defensively, for sure, that was the case. We were out of position, busted one coverage and gave up one big play. There were some areas like that where we have been a little more consistent that hopefully we can get back to here this week."

NEBRASKA HEAD COACH BILL CALLAHAN
"The big thing is their ability to run the football with the physical nature of their attack. They are a downhill running team, very similar to an old Big Ten football team. Dotting the "I", coming downhill, trying to run the power counter, some misdirection off of it, but by and large they are coming downhill. You have to give them a lot credit. Their ability to play at a high tempo, play with good speed, and play hard, that's the thing that you notice on film. That's really their trait, that they are a very physical running football team. So that will be a challenge to our front, a challenge to our players."

Re: OU, Nebraska Pregame Quotes

Also of note, from what Stoops said at his press conference, Peterson will not play in the Big 12 title game.
