paying college players many athletes receive a scholarship of some sort to play in college, but football takes many of the title IX scholarships from the men. title IX is a rule that states ment and women should have the same numeb of scholarships. many of the men's sports are limited in number becuase of footabll. people have proposed that athletes receive money to compensate for the work they put in to add to tehir scholarship. athlets can not get a job because their sport is their job in college. athletes put in many manditory extra hours before and after practice and on weekends. ncaa prohibits athlets from receiving any special treatmetn in any way. when you paly a college video gam, the players name is not on the jersey. when you buy your favorite palyers jresey, his name isn ot on it. why? so palyers will not receive compensation. players deserve more than jsut a scholarship for their praticipation in colege sports. do you agree? why or why not? the companies can pay less for the college athlete to endorse the product so it is a win win situation. i think the problem is the ncaa does notwant the focus taken off of the organization. they have an unlawful rule book that does not allow athletes to d o much of any thing. i want to hear what the people have to say. |
