| college athletes and drugs The NCAA says they test athletes for drugs and what not, but many athlets get away with wahtever they want. first of all, the NCAA only test for street drugs like marijuana, cocaine, ice and stuff like that. teh steroid test cost too much to do. steroid use is also rampant in college sports today. what can be done to fix this? | Please take a look at the following page: http://www2.ncaa.org/portal/legislat...g_testing.html If you click on the link marked "Banned Drugs List" you'll find a complete list of all of the substances the NCAA tests for and does not allow their student athletes to use. These include not only street drugs but also stimulants, diuretics, hormonal agents and, yes, steroids. I somehow don't think steroids in college sports is as big as a deal as you make it sound, and if it is, then its probably due more to the use of masking agents than the lack of testing by the NCAA. |
