Adrian Peterson is Walker Semifinalist

Adrian Peterson has been gone for three weeks, but the Oklahoma running back is not forgotten. He was one of 10 semi-finalists announced today for the Doak Walker Award, which is presented annually to college football's top running back. The Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors oversees the honor.

Wow, this opens an interesting can of worms. Can a guy who's out injured for half the season win such a prestigeous honor? Should he even be eligible? Granted, he's an incredible athlete, but I don't think he should be a Walker semifinalist, really. What do you guys say?
