| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone I was about to post the same thing. And as a OU fan this is something you really hate to hear. OU has had the worst luck this season. With the whole Rhett Bomar thing then the Oregon thing and now this... But maybe this means he will be back to shine for one more year. I dought the NFL will draft him in the first round with him not playing anymore this season and an injury on top of that. But then again he might take what he can get and not risk getting injured again in college football. It just sucks that this was the first game his dad got to go watch and he broke his collar bone. Best of luck to him, not matter which path he decides to take.

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone People will be second guessing the decision to have Peterson on the field in the 4th quarter of a blow out from now until Christmas. Other than killing his chance at a Heisman, this may have been a blessing in disguise for Peterson. He will still be a top 5 draft choice next year, and now we know he won't blow out a knee before getting the chance to play in the NFL.

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone You know, during the pregame they were talking about how it was a guarantee that by the end of the year, Peterson would be the leading rusher in Sooners history. And as soon as they said that, the first thing I thought about was the possibility of an injury. Shame. Anyone thinks he comes back next year to break Sims mark, or does he pack it in and go pro?

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone He's going pro. I don't think they are in a position to challenge for a National Championship, which would be the only reason he should come back. Last edited by AZAggie : 10-15-2006 at 12:52 PM. |

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone Well on the local news here in Oklahoma, they said that he will play in the bowl game but he isnt comming back next year. So at least I get to see him in action one more time. He is a great kid and a lot of people (believe it or not) hate the Sooners here in Oklahoma and Ive heard some of the worst things said about him and his injury. I just think regardless of your opinion of the sooners, you have to respect someone that can break tackles and run like that. He is a great player and isnt cocky, and no one deserves to have that happen to them |

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone No doubt he is a great player and I've never heard anything bad about him. His running style is very similar to NFL great Eric Dickerson. When I watch Peterson run it is like looking back in time at Dickerson when he ran for SMU and the Rams. |

| Re: Adrian Peterson Broken Collarbone At a press conference this afternoon, Peterson said he hopes to be able to heal quickly enough to be able to play in a bowl game. He said nothing about his future as far as if he'll decide to declare or not. Most assume he will be declaring for the NFL after the season. |
