Sooners vs Longhorns - Red River Shootout

The Texans Longhorns vs. the Oklahoma Sooners. Does this one even need any build-up? It's the Red River Shootout, baby!

This is the 101st meeting between these two powerhouses in Dallas. Furthermore, according to the Associated Press, "With Texas ranked No. 7 and Oklahoma at No. 14, this will be the sixth time in seven meetings that both are among the top 15... This year's game also will be the 10th to feature the reigning national champion. And there's a good chance one of these teams will win the Big 12 South for the eighth straight year."

So what are your predictions? Who wins the Red River Shootout, and what's the final score? Pick right, and you could be a winner in our big huge $300 Ticket Contest! Check out the official contest rules thread for more information, and then come back here and predict the winner and final score of this weekend's Oklahoma - Texas showdown!

This game should determine the winner of the Big12 south. Neither team appears to quite be at the levels of recent seasons. Texas just has more talent than Oklahoma and should be able to win this game.
Texas 23
Oklahoma 14

Yeah, I tend to agree with that assessment, desertrat. Texas isn't as good as they were last year, but they are good. The Sooners defense is questionable, so I expect UT to come away with a 31-17 victory in this one.

Unhappy Re: Sooners vs Longhorns - Red River Shootout

I guess this game should be strickened from the records too because the Sooners or laters lost again.

Keeping doing this and they would have a perfect record get one one way or thw other

Re: Sooners vs Longhorns - Red River Shootout

Can we give the Oregon game stuff a rest and talk about THIS game, guys? Texas sure won this one pretty handily, 28-10. Colt McCoy was impressive, going 11-of-18 for 107 yards and a pair of touchdown passes, and the Sooners lose despite outgaining UT by almost 100 yards, thanks to a whopping 5 turnovers! Ouch.

Does Oklahoma fall out of the top 25 after this Red River Shootout loss?
