| Re: Kansas State at Oklahoma Kansas State at OklahomaSam Bradford's career at Oklahoma might be over, but his teammates are prepared to finish the season strong without their Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback. The 22nd-ranked Sooners look to build off a dominating victory while trying for a fourth straight win over visiting Big 12 North leader Kansas State on Saturday night. A day after Oklahoma (4-3, 2-1) rolled to a 35-13 victory at then-No. 24 Kansas last Saturday, Bradford announced he will have season-ending shoulder surgery and plans to enter the NFL Draft in April. The junior injured his throwing shoulder in a season-opening 14-13 loss to BYU, and most recently against Texas on Oct. 10. Kansas State Wildcats vs. Oklahoma Sooners Preview, October 31 2009 - NCAA College Football - ESPN Bradford is making a big mistake. When you have a major injury to end a season and you happen to have another year left in college, you come back. If he was going to head to the NFL, he should have did it last year when his stock was high! Now? I don't think he goes as high and may be an injury risk. If I was an NFL scout, I would shy off of him. Hurt twice in one season? Ok, enough on that. Snyder has the Wildcats playing some pretty darn good football right now as they have won 4 of their last 5 games. They hung 62 points on at least an average Aggies team a couple weeks ago. Sooners win over the Jayhawks was nothing special the way I see it. UPSET Prediction: Wildcats 28 Sooners 25 Anybody think my upset is rediculous? Tell me why you think Sooners will win?

Kansas State 30, Oklahoma 42Jones tosses 4 TDs, Murray runs for 2 as OU stops K-State NORMAN, Okla. -- Landry Jones learned earlier in the week that Sam Bradford wouldn't be returning this season, leaving Jones as the full-time, rather than fill-in, starting quarterback for Oklahoma (No. 22 AP). His comfort level is increasing with every start, and that's one reason Oklahoma's offense is beginning to catch up to its defense. In his fifth start, the redshirt freshman completed 26 of 37 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns in the Sooners' 42-30 victory over Kansas State on Saturday night. "The most exciting part of tonight was when the offense answered back when it had to," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. "... It's a sign we're becoming a more complete team." | Re: Kansas State at Oklahoma Much to the surprise of many around here, most people were glad Sam decided to have the surgery and not come back this year. The main reason, which I totally agree with, is because there's no doubt in Landry's mind anymore what Sam is gonna do or not do. This gives him the confidence he needs, knowing he's the starting QB. It also removes any doubt in the rest of the offense's minds who will be leading the team for the remaining games. All of that is a good thing, since Landry has all the makings of another outstanding QB in the future. |
