Bradford out 2-4 weeks

Great news for the Oklahoma Sooners. Their star quarterback, Sam Bradford, is not expected to need surgery after all and will be out 2-4 weeks.
Here's hoping the young man heals quickly and can come back to lead his team.
Remember Bradford turned down a chance to go out for the NFL, citing the reason as wanting to come back and lead his team to a championship.

Re: Bradford out 2-4 weeks

Just a bit of local news about this...Bradford said in an interview on Monday, he hated getting hurt, but he knew this year was gonna be a rough one behind a rookie offensive line. He also said he was up for it, because he wanted to show the NFL scouts he could take his licks, get back up and keep on ticking. I'm not sure he thought hurting his shoulder and missing 2 to 4 weeks was part of that deal, but he's still got an excellent attitude. And he sounds determined to get back as soon as he can and get 'er done.

Thanks Robertd. I read people were getting on him about going back to school last year already, and then they were really pointing fingers and going "See" when this happened.
But you say he knew he would be behind a rookie offensive line. So he must have been aware of that last yearwhen he made that decision.
Maybe this will stir those rookies to do a better job of protecting their quarterback.
I admired him for going back to school instead of for the big bucks. Another year of college football shouldnt hurt him at all.
Since he will probably end up in some team like the Lions or Raiders were, he will need the practice getting knocked down.

Quack Attack is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Bradford out 2-4 weeks

I just hope Bradford is back for the Sooners vs Hurricanes. I want those Sooners to beat up on the Hurricanes a team I have always never liked since the late 1980s. No offense Hurricane fans.

Sooners should be ok the next couple games and on the positive side you get game experience for your future QB. I just don't know if the Sooners could beat the Hurricanes or many of the top teams in Big 12 without Bradford?
