| Troy Smith now a Heisman favorite Whoa, what happened? For weeks the folks on this board have been talking about how Buckeyes QB Troy Smith deserved more Heisman consideration than his teammate, Ted Ginn Jr. And guess what? The folks in Vegas are listening, because Smith is now third on their Heisman winner odds list at 8-1, ahead of Ginn and behind only Brady Quinn and Adrian Peterson! So, does Smith belong in such company? Is he a clear-cut top 3 candidate here?

| Re: Troy Smith now a Heisman favorite Smith may just have rocketed to the top of the Heisman favorites list yesterday, thowing for 269 yards and a pair of scores against the #2 ranked team in the country. His accuracy surprised me, too - he's a better passer than I thought. I'm still backing my boy Slaton from WVU, but realistically speaking, I'd guess that Smith would win were the Heisman voting held today. What do you guys think? |

| Re: Troy Smith now a Heisman favorite Smith led the team to an unbeaten record, beat Michigan and broke the OSU single-season school record for most touchdown passes. ESPN's Gameday crew seemed ready to all but hand him the Heisman. So, does he have the award locked up now? |
