Erik Haw transfers

Running back Erik Haw, formerly of the Ohio State Buckeyes, has transferred to Jackson State. Haw, who carried 14 times for 61 yards and a touchdown last season, said the decision came when he realized he'd be buried on the depth chart this upcoming season, and by going to a Division I-AA school, he can play immediately. This won't hurt the Buckeyes, but its a shame the kid made his decision based solely on football. See, I'm a dreamer... I like to believe some of these kids still want to get an actual education. Silly me.

Re: Erik Haw transfers

Well, ultimately, he wants too play in The NFL (or at least have the opportunity), and he can strive for that while getting an education. With the recruitment of Chris Wells and the emergence of Antonio Pittman, it was the right move. Frankly, I am surprised he waited this long.
