OSU 2006-2007 Basketball Schedule

Ohio State has UNC, Florida and Tennessee slated for next years pre-conference schedule. I can guarantee at least the first two will be nationally televised and most likely the third. It is a welcomed change to a preseason schedule in which the most anticipated game is St. Joes. Some in Columbus think OSU is hurting there chances at a number one seed, to which I say it doesn't really matter so long as they are at worst a four. Getting into the tournament is all that really matters and of course too be the best you have too beat the best. So why not start early?
So what does everyone think? Is this advantageous or are the Buckeyes doing themselves a disservice by playing so many high caliber opponents so soon?

Well, if they lose 2 of those 3, it'll look like a stupid move. If they win, though, it'll help their cause a bit. As long as they play solid conference ball, they'll be alright. Nice to see one of these college teams looking for a little competition for a change, though.

Thats esentially my perspective. They can lose all three and it will showcase the team on a national stage and it will still benefit recruiting more than losing the games will hurt their NCAA Tourney placing. And the non-conference games are the high point of the regular college basketball season.
