Ohio State QB Troy Smith, who ranked #4 in the country with a 167.9 passer rating and threw for over 2,500 yards, 30 TDs and just 5 INTs, was named one of the finalists for the 2006 Heisman Trophy Award. Joining him are Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn and Arkansas RB Darren McFadden. What do you think of Smith's chances to take home the hardware?

They might as well only invite one person. If the media finds an argument to raitionalize giving this award to Quinn, it will be one of the bigger injustices interms of individual awards I have seen.

It will also exemplify the significant media advantage Notre Dame has on the rest of the country.

Quinn, at least, has some argument for being there. Is there some kind of rule that they have to send at least three, because poor Darren McFadden has to go to New York knowing he's going to be a distant third. Sad that he has to suffer through that. But, yeah, it's gotta be Troy Smith as the winner.
