Jeff Garcia says he didnt sign up with the Raiders to be the number 2 guy. He has every intention of winning the starter job.
But--and this is a big but--Russell is the guy for Al Davis.
Rumors are there are questions about Russell's work ethics. He has the physical talent, but there are also questions about whether or not he can read defenses and make decisions.
Think there is any chance that if Garcia proves he is the better guy, he will get the starting position?

in my mind, just by signing, he should win the starting job. Russell looks to be a bust.
