| Brooks, Moss & the unbeaten Raiders I never saw this one coming, and say what you will about it only being preseason, but the Raiders are looking like a damn fine football team right now. Aaron Brooks hit Randy Moss for a pair of touchdowns in last night's win over Detroit. Oakland is now 4-0 in the preseason for the first time in 30+ years, and those two played a big part in the triumph. Brooks was 9-for-15 for 187 yards, the two scores and no interceptions. Moss hauled in 3 catches for 102 yards, and both Lamont Jordan and Justin Fargas averaged better than 5.0 yards per carry on the evening. Could this be a sleeper team coming out of the AFC West?

| Re: Brooks, Moss & the unbeaten Raiders FOX Sports - NFL - Moss scores two TDs in Raiders' win "Moss caught two touchdown passes from Brooks and the Oakland Raiders opened the preseason with four straight wins for the first time since 1975, beating the Detroit Lions 21-3 Friday night. Brooks got off to a slow start in his first season in Oakland, completing only one pass in each of his first two exhibition games. But after an improved performance last week against San Francisco, Brooks showed signs of being able to click with Moss better than Kerry Collins did last season." i always liked Moss, it's good to see him do well but i just cant see Brooks leading them to the playoffs, especially how strong the AFC is

| Re: Brooks, Moss & the unbeaten Raiders We will see how the Raiders do this season. It looks promising that they will compete, but we will see. Inspite of the holes that they have, they have improved on defense as well. And if you take a look at the AFC West there are holes in it. Denver's hole will be Jake Plummer. He is either great or horrible. San Diego has a good defense but Phillip Rivers is getting his first ever start this year. He could have a tough rookie season. His one advantage is Tomlinson and Bates though. KC has LJ and a decent offense. Their defense is their vulnerbility. Anything can happen in the AFC West although most have picked the Raiders to dominate the cellar again. At this point, I look at the Raiders as the sleeper team that could creep up on you if you decide to take them for granted. However, chances are they will stay sleeping more this season that naught. We'll see. Nuff. Thundrwagn |
