With the signing of Jeff Garcia to a one year deal, perhaps JaMarcus Russell should beware. He could be just like Leinhart and Young who struggled, had injuries and sat on the bench as veteran backups played better than they did.
JaMarcus will come into camp as the starter, and one of his biggest upsides is he has one of the strongest arms in the NFL.
His biggest downside is his offseason work ethic and conditioning have come under question.
Jeff Garcia says Russell hasnt had anyone to push him before, and he hopes Russell takes advantage of the situation.
If the Raiders dont win early, watch for Garcia to take over the reins.
