Al Davis fires Kiffin

FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports that Lane Kiffin has been informed he will be removed as head coach Monday.
Glazer cautions that you never know with Al Davis, but this time looks for real. A Week 2 win over the Chiefs got Kiffin this far, but it appears Sunday's collapse at Buffalo sealed the young coach's fate. It's a shame because the Raiders played hard, almost beating a good team on the road. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan seems likely to take over, but it's anyone's guess what offensive system JaMarcus Russell will have to learn.

A collapse? They lost by 1 point. I think they should let this guy keep coaching for atleast 2 more weeks. Maybe let him see that his job is on the line though.

He knew his job was on the line from the time he started.
As they said on Access, who is going to want that job when they know their job security is non existent.
Its too bad because Davis is making total chaos out of a once tough franchise.

Al Davis is the Darth Vader of football... no immediate results and your dead. How many head coaches have the Raiders had now in the last decade? It seems like they have had a new head coach every year.

Wait, why fire him? They lost by 1 point, and their defence is great. Buffalo just started playing at the final minutes. He just had a brush with the Bills trying hard.

Re: Al Davis fires Kiffin

Any owner that fires a coach during the season (in football) is an A**H***!!! Good luck finding a decent coach to replace him. Nobody will want too coach for the guy now..... not that they did before.

Re: Al Davis fires Kiffin

It seemed like kiffen was tryin to lose that game. He knew they were going to kick the field goal in the final minute yet he let the clock continue to run even though he had 2 timeouts left.

Davis wants him to quit, but kiffen doesnt get paid that way, so hes trying to get fired.
