Jordan told not to practice

LaMont Jordan met with Raiders coach Lane Kiffin on Tuesday morning and was told he wouldn't practice with the team.
It's become clear that Jordan won't be a member of the Raiders next season, but the team is apparently trying to deal him as opposed to just releasing him. Al Davis has been unreasonably paranoid about Jordan joining the Broncos, and would prefer to have some say over where he ends up. Jordan will have to restructure his contract in order to make that a possibility.

Don't the Titans need a runningback? How about the Bears? Plenty of teams could use Jordan. I wouldn't think they would have a problem trading him save for the fact that they would be dealing with the insane Al Davis.

Chicago would probably be a nice fit for Jordan, who I think can still start in this league.
It's just that Oakland has an embarrassment of riches at the position -- McFadden, Bush, Fargas.

I don't think Chicago is the right place Lefty, if the Bears' add a RB it will be a guy who break the big one, like Willie Parker, (no I'm saying they will add Fast Willie), but not Jordan or Shaun Alexander.

Re: Jordan told not to practice

I guess I am not surprised by this, but Jordan can still be a good back in this league and I wouldn't be shocked to see some team offer up a low round draft pick. However, like Dusty said it can always be a dicey proposition to deal with Al Davis.
