Yeah, and you can't underestimate that kind of mentality when it comes to choosing a backup/mentor. You don't want to sign a guy if you think there's a chance he'll tank your young QBs development in order to get himself into the lineup. A guy who knows his place and puts the good of the team first (but is ready to play if necessary), like Dilfer, is a valuable asset.
