With the 4th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders have selected RB Darren McFadden, Arkansas. Good pick?

This could be a good pick or a Career Ending for Mcfadden.
Good as in he could be the next Bo Jackson the Raiders needs or a BAD ONE meaning Al Davis is running the whole show and his future stats will drop with the Raiders.
Just hope Mcfadden don't know what Bo's knows.

If you're the Raiders you can't pass up the next Tomlinson. Justin Fargas is a very good back but not what McFadden could be. Besides, didn't the Giants prove last year that you can't have too many runningbacks?

McFadden may be good, but he's overrated and he's DEFINITELY not the next Tomlinson.

Come on Lefty...even L. J. had question marks coming in...ditto for Petterson...why hate on McFadden...yeah, the dude is a bit freak about certain things...but he is a gifted runner...and if you are gonna take 4th overall...you got to get him 20 touches a game.

Well, all I'm saying is, he's going to be soft and fumble prone, and not half the running back everyone expects him to be.

McFadden is LT Jr., he should be great, he will be great. I really like what he brings to the table.

They made some great moves no doubt but it'll take more than drafting McFadden and some free agent signings to bring one of the worst teams in the league to a playoff contender. Russell will be starting and will be making mistakes that give away games like any rookie QB does as well as you need a good coaching staff in place to which the Raiders is suspect. Never say never but i'd highly bet against them reaching the postseason.
