DeAngelo Hall to get $70 million deal

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports DeAngelo Hall will sign a seven-year, $70 million contract with the Raiders.
However, as NFL Network's Adam Schefter has reported, the deal is far from done. The sides haven't agreed on exact compensation. Hall is flying to meet with owner Al Davis on Wednesday night and if all goes well, will sign the most lucrative contract for a cornerback in league history. Nate Clements' deal was for seven years, $64 million (not eight years, $80 million). Hall's signing bonus and amount of guaranteed money is still unknown.

DeAngelo Hall? Shutdown corner? Does not compute. Ask Chad Johnson whether Hall's a shutdown corner or not.

Hell no!!! If this isn't proof that Al Davis has gone insane than tell me what is?? It's like Al thinks that DeAngelo Hall is the reincarnation of Deion Sanders and the only other person who thinks that is Hall himself!!!

Spot on, Dusty. Hall is at best an average corner with a lot of flaws in his game and a big mouth. Why he gets so much attention is beyond me.

Al Davis says he is...and for Hall that is all that matters really...

...and I like the guy.

Still, I wouldn't pay $70 mil for him.
