Oakland Raiders quarterback
JaMarcus Russell will make the
first start of his NFL career on Sunday, entering the starting lineup 16 weeks after the season started and eight months after the Raiders made him the first pick in the draft.
Russell
got his most extensive playing time of the season yesterday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he struggled. He finished the game 7-of-23 for 83 yards, with a touchdown, three interceptions and a fumble. As the photo shows, he often looked awkward as he was passing.
"Unfortunately, it's like
one of your nightmares come true," Raiders coach
Lane Kiffin said. "This was my fear all along."
