Oakland vs. Miami

Surprise, surprise, the Raiders are 1-2 and actually playing pretty decent football, even without rookie JaMarcus Russell starting at quarterback. Speaking of the Raider QB, it'll be Daunte Culpepper in for the injured Josh McCown this week. No matter, if the Raiders are to win, the star of the show will be the NFL's 3rd ranked rushing offense (159.3 ypg). Of course, the Raiders are just 27th in total defense. Can they upend Miami here?

Culpepper finally gets his chance this week.
For one thing he has to really give it to Miami for letting him go.
I'd really like to see the old Culpepper back.

Well, Raiders came in with the 3rd best rushing offense in the NFL (159.3 ypg), but yeah, they darn near doubled that. Wow.

Re: Oakland vs. Miami

Kiffin's got this team to .500 already, and their tied atop the AFC West, if you can believe it. So what's been the biggest difference maker, the new coach?

Kiffen's done a nice job but the fact that Denver and San Diego have been playing anemic football (SD at least looks like their recovering, though) is why they're in the playoff hunt right now.

Let's see them go into SD and beat the Chargers. Then I'll be impressed.

Could happen, you know. San Diego's only really had one good game so far this year.
