Oakland vs Detroit

Week One of the 2007 NFL season has the Raiders vs the Loins .... Russell still isnt ready to play and may not be for the entire season .......the may be the most winnable game for the Raiders all season, they better do all they can not to screw it up

Win?...no, no,no...this is the perfect game for "Air-Kitna" to come out throwing and get CJ and Roy Williams started on their all-pro season...I am calling this one 34-17 Lions.

last season the only shining spot for the Raiders was the defense ...... Kitna wont be putting 30+ on them

That sounds close, but I think it'll be an even BIGGER win for the Lions, like 42-10. Detroit's offense will be a plesant surprise, and the Raiders offense will be all but nonexistant. Expect "We Want JaMarcus" chants by the third quarter.

Yeah, darn it. I'm buying into the preseason hype about the Lions again. Promised myself I wasn't going to do it this year, but... oh well. I think they're going to be good. Mike Martz's gameplan, Kitna at QB, CJ could be the best rookie receiver in years. Lots of potential. Once again. Running game should be better this year too. Defense? Well, that's the big question mark.

Hard to believe that FOX would even put this game on locally they should put the real important late game the Bears and the Chargers

sounds like something some simple dude would say. Kind of like a broken record, over and over again.

Re: Oakland vs Detroit

I think the Raiders are going to be better than they were last season. I think Art Shell had a lot too do with what happend last season. I don't think the players liked him much and it showed.

The big question is. How good can Culpepper be? If he can hold up, he's got a chance to put up some good numbers with Porter (if his head is on right), Curry, Travis Taylor and don't forget Mike Williams (VS the lions this week). If L. Jordan can be what he was two seasons ago, or if he can hold down the fort untill Rhodes comes back, the Raiders are not looking that bad. But there are a lot of IF's on the offense, not to mention the O line. Like SS said the Raider D was not that bad last year. Hey, a new Coach brings a whole new outlook. 1st game, at home, crowd fired up. I like Oakland to win this one 24 - 20.
