Daunte maybe not washed up????

Daunte Culpepper went 6/8 for 75 yards at the Raiders last game against the 49er's. On Access, Terril Davis says he's the guy there. He was rolling out and his arm is as strong as ever.
Adam Schefter said McCowan is the starter, but that Culpepper would be it at some time in the future.

Heh!heh! Who said Culpepper was washed out?

I kinda agree, he had Moss to throw to all those years, and after Moss left, it kinda went to crap.

Re: Daunte maybe not washed up????

So Daunte's stats arent so great after the last game even though Oakland won. The second game was his best.
All together, heis 15/28, with a 53.65% completion and a 112.2 rating. He has rushed 30 yds. in 7 attempts.
Now here is where it really gets sticky--fumbled 4 and lost 1

But, if he is successful with this team, wouldnt one maybe have to say, "He isnt so bad after all?" Its too early to write him off. He is still recovering. I dont think he will have a breakout year, but I think he will do better this year than what "some" people may think.

Cool...the pride and joy of Central Florida...and his game might match the type Russell will play...so you the LSU kid can fit right in after Daunte.

Very funny Vince!
Obviously you are one of those people who think Daunte isnt so great. You and that other guy are going to be eating crow at the end of the year.

I didnt mean you. That other person knows who he is.
By the way, how come you have left me out here all alone lately defending Daunte, T.O. and the Cowboys? Help out here a little, huh? Just because you are an administrator doesnt mean you can slack off.

Even those his passing percents, etc. werent so good in this game, he didnt have any fumbles or losses. So that's a good sign.
This is a bad team and even a healthy fully recovered quarterback would have problems. Maybe thats why he was so insistent on a one year deal. He can prove himself and then he's not stuck there any longer than necessary.
