NeuroLogica of Danvers, Massachusetts, announced this morning that the Oakland Raiders will become the first NFL team to acquire a state-of-the-art mobile CT scanner called the CereTom. Visiting players and medical personnel will also have access to the equipment during all preseason and regular-season games at Oakland this year. "It will allow medical personnel to instantly diagnose players' head injuries," said NeuroLogica CEO and founder Eric Bailey, in an exclusive interview with the Cold, Hard Football Facts. "We can teach you in less than 2 or 3 minutes how to do a brain scan on somebody." Two other NFL teams may purchase CereTom scanners before the start of the 2007 season, said Bailey.
