Should Bush play in 2007?

If he's healthy, should Michael Bush play in 2007? Here's what one columnist thinks.

Quote:
Oakland Raiders "Caution is key with Michael Bush" - Realfootball365.com
Michael Bush can be a great NFL running back. The key for the Raiders is not to rush him. His injury was a severe one, and Oakland is experimenting with a new zone-blocking scheme during this offseason. Those two factors lead me to believe that Bush should play sparingly, if at all, during his rookie season. The Raiders should give the leg time to heal while also giving the offensive line time to master coach Tom Cable's new approach to run-blocking. The Louisville product has all the tools to be the running back of the future for the Raiders, a quite possibly a fixture at the Pro Bowl. Despite his doctor's proclamation that Bush is good to go, it would be foolish for the team to throw him right into the mix.
So what do you think? If Bush is close to 100%, should he play? Or should the Raiders not take any chances with him?

No, let him sit out a year like McGhee...I think they will be rewarded in the long run...

Re: Should Bush play in 2007?

The key in this question is "if healthy" so, why not?

I would consider putting him on the PUP. That way, if the Raiders are still in the hunt and are making a late season run, he could help. In the meantime, it would give him more time to heal, and the Raiders will have an open roster spot.
