According to the Associated Press, "The Oakland Raiders cut ties with Aaron Brooks on Thursday, declining to pick up the option on the quarterback's contract after one difficult season... Brooks, who would have been due a $5 million roster bonus if he had stayed on the roster, failed to win any of his eight starts with the Raiders." No surprise; he was a total bust for them. So do they make a run for Jeff Garcia, Damon Huard or another QB?

The Raiders need to re-build. The last thing they need is another veteran QB.

No, but they will need a stop gap until the QB they draft is ready to play. A veteran is the best way to teach a rookie.

It was not all Brook's fault...the games I saw him in, the rush was on him the minute he took 3 steps back...and Moss pretty much quit on the team...

It may not be all his fault but he never was a great quarterback and he was hurt a lot

TRADE VALUE? Darn, GDK, I hope you're kidding. Maybe they could get a six-pack and a few chicken wings for him, but not much else. I mean, he's one of the few QBs in the league who would be a DOWNGRADE from Rex Grossman in Chicago.
