Raiders Chiefs Game

Normally, in a rivalry game like this, you throw the records out the window. But how CAN you in this game? The Raiders are a dismal 2-12, and their play has been indicitive of their record. Their latest loss was a 20-0 shutout at the hands of a Rams team that was supposedly in disarray. No team in the NFL has scored fewer points than Oakland (156). Sorry, Raiders fans, but I see the Chiefs winning this one big. What do you think?

Chiefs beat Raiders to keep playoff hopes alive
ABC News - 4 hours ago
Dec 24, 2006 — SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders 20-9 on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Larry Johnson rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown to help the Chiefs improve to 8-7, but they remain a long shot for one of two AFC wild card berths.

The New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos are all on 8-6 with a game in hand.

"We needed to win a game, we've lost three in a row and that never puts a good taste in your mouth," Chiefs coach Herm Edwards told reporters. "Turnovers are key, we got a few turnovers and were able to score some points.

"We were fortunate to get out of here with a win but we needed one and now we need to try and win one more."

Cool Re: Chiefs beat Raiders to keep playoff hopes alive

Raiders are a disgrace. Although it's not all his fault, Shell will be gone. Andrew Walter is not the answer, either.

Re: Chiefs beat Raiders to keep playoff hopes alive

Ditka yesterday on ESPN was blasting Al Davis, imploring him to sell the team. He's the only professional analyst with the guts to say on national TV what we've been saying -- that nothing will change with this team, especially offensively, until he's taken out of the equation. What a shame because their defense is actually quite good, but their offense is just pathetic.
