Raiders' Moss on pace for his worst season

Randy Moss has twice caught more than 100 passes in a season and only once in his first eight seasons in the NFL did he fail to reach 1,000 yards in receptions - but he is nowhere near either of those figures this season.

Moss still leads the Oakland Raiders in receptions and yards this season, but with just 40 catches and 525 yards through 12 games Moss is on pace to his worst season.

"I'm not sure what's going on over there, but when you're talking about one of the for-sure Hall of Fame receivers for what he's done in the past and for him not to be anywhere near what he's done in the past, I'm not sure what's going on," said Bengals receiver Chad Johnson, who said he knows Moss but that the two aren't close acquaintances.

For his career, Moss averaged 16 yards per reception coming into this season but that average is down to 13.1 yards per catch this season. Moss spent the first seven seasons of his career in Minnesota but was traded to Oakland prior to last season. He's never had fewer than seven touchdown receptions in a season, but he has just three this season.

Well when Andrew Walter is your QB what can you do? If he was in Baltimore like he said he wanted to go he'd be back with the elite stat-wise. The Raiders should rebulid and maybe trade Moss for draft picks but I know that won't happen.
