Raiders Can't Close The Deal - NFL - NBC5.com | WMAQ
By Dan Di Sciullo, NFL Contributing Editor

(Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders played one of their best games of the year this past Sunday, and still wound up with another loss.

The Raiders (2-7) hosted the Denver Broncos, and led most of the game before ultimately losing, 17-13. The Broncos scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to get the victory.

Oakland's offensive line rebounded nicely from a terrible game in Seattle last Monday. The Raiders dropped a 16-0 decision to the Seahawks and that was due in large part to the nine sacks allowed by the Oakland offensive line.

Re: Raiders improving, but...

Yeah, the Raiders seem to be getting better, if the Broncos game is any indication. But they're still losing. Word is they may be making the change back to Brooks at quarterback. So what else should they do to try and get over the hump?

Re: Raiders improving, but...

Too much improvement is needed for the Raiders to amount to much this year or next, unless they completely restructure the team. Moss needs to shut up and go away. Its become too easy to dis the Raiders. They used to be the team that america loved to hate, now its just pity.

But I lost a game inFantasy because they got the ball to Moss all of one time and I even had Chad Johnson with his monster game of 11 catches 260-2...

Give Moss the damn ball!

See, yet another reason to dislike Moss.

Re: Raiders improving, but...

Randy Moss is a waste. I really like Andrew Walter. He was criticized for blasting the playcalling but I think he's right.

Oaklands defence is doing very well and they go up against the Cheifs this week.Larry Johnson worrys me but Trent Green may come out shaky this week from his injury.Oakland should do fine and come away with a win.

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, raidersJD.

There was a time when I thought your Raiders & my Titans were going to both have goose eggs in the W column this year. Fortunately its not quite that bad. But I still think we're 2 of the worst teams in the league. Maybe next year, right?

Look forward to chatting more with you.

Hey, welcome to GoTeamsGo, raidersJD, and thanks for joining us!

You're not kidding about their defense; I've got them on one of my fantasy squads and they're scoring pretty well. Who on their D stands out to you as a possible Pro Bowler?
