Randy Moss Fallen

Since joining the Raiders a few years ago, Randy Moss cannot be considered the best receiver in the game. I'll say he can't even be considered one of the top five receivers in the game. His career has been so stunted, it's barely believeable. Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Hines Ward, Torry Holt and Javon Walker all seem to be favored above Moss in my mind. Hell, you could even throw Plaxico Burress and Reggie Wayne possibly.

If I'm Moss, I don't care what it does to my PR but I would demand a trade. He's going nowhere with Oakland and he needs to be in a situaiton which uses him to the best of his abilities. That's not happening on Oakland.

I'd say if you're Atlanta, go do whatever you must and trade for him. He could be the missing piece for Michael Vick.

Cool Re: Randy Moss Fallen

I almost felt bad for Moss last night. You're right Empire, he needs to go somewhere else. After watching them last night, I don't know how Oakland won 2 games.

Re: Randy Moss Fallen

Hard to believe this guy was the most feared receiver in the game for years and years, and now he's such a non-factor it's not even funny. Yes, he plays for a bad team with a bad QB and a bad offensive line, but how much of this is possibly due to his own deteriorating skills as well? I mean, if you put him on a team like Atlanta, would he do any better?

Yeah...he's no TO...

Vick-Moss would at least help solve the Vick issue...he would have a receiver who is not his TE...

Even with Moss, I bet Crumpler is still his #1 guy. Nothing wrong with having a TE as your top pass catcher.

The problem is, he seems to be the only real option...

Re: Randy Moss Fallen

Getting back to Moss, though, since this is his thread... I haven't seen enough of the Raiders to tell. Is he getting open and the QB just missing him? Is he not putting forth the effort (which wouldn't surprise me)? Or perhaps, does anyone think he's maybe lost a step or two? What does everyone think is the main reason behind his poor numbers this season?

Cool Re: Randy Moss Fallen

I think part of the problem is in their antiquated offense, the are running him across the middle which is not his strong suit. He should be going deep most of the time where he can do his stuff.

QB is getting chased and sacked...he is not setting up...Moss is getting frustrated not being able to get the ball...

Re: Randy Moss Fallen

Moss should have stayed a Viking. He would have been Rice's equal if not better with a real QB like Brad Johnson tossing the pigskin.

'07 Brad Johnson is better than '02 Daunte Culpepper?

If I remember correctly, Moss wanted to stay in Minnesota and work things out. Management saw differently and thought Culpepper was their franchise. They screwed up and now traded their franchise WR and QB.

No but he's good enough to get the ball to Moss unlike a '04 Culpepper and any so called Raider QBs.

Re: Randy Moss Fallen

Moss can't get downfield to use his strength of long post routes. The O line will not give them the time to do that. They are on pace to break the all time sack record. I think they are worse than the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs.

If the Raiders were smart, they would use Moss to get a great trade. They need all different players and draft picks. If they package Porter and Moss, they should get a lot of both. They need help.

What's the record?...I remeber reading some where that Randall Cunningham was sacked over 100 times in 1986 I think? Has anyone been sacked more?
