Raiders head coach Tom Cable punched an assistant coach in the face and fractured his jaw in an Aug. 6 fight at a hotel, according to multiple published reports.

The victim in the case was Raiders defensive assistant Randy Hanson, fanhouse.com reported, citing multiple sources. According to an unnamed source, "Hanson never saw it coming."
The incident, which was reported to police, took place at Oakland's training camp headquarters at the Napa Valley Marriott.
"The victim didn't even want any police action taken," Napa Police Lt. Brian McGovern told fanhouse.com, "but we were following hospital policy that authorities be contacted in cases where there may have been an assault." McGovern told the Web site that Napa Police consider the matter closed at this point, "unless we are re-contacted by the victim, and the victim changes their mind that they want us to follow through and pursue an investigation. At this point we're not doing anything else with it."

Not good, but maybe this is what Al Davis likes. Who knows?
There was some question about how Goodell would handle it but as long as there wasnt any police action, I dont think Goodell will do anything?

At the very least, Tom Cable should be suspended for two games. There should also be a reason that Roger Goodell can issue a lifetime ban to Al Davis.

How about something along the lines of he's a detriment to the Raiders and the NFL in general???

Sounds good to me. Of course, it won't stop Al Davis from: a. suing the NFL for reinstatement and/or b. wearing the ban like a badge of honor.

It reminds me of Woody Hayes of Ohio State when he hit Charlie Bauman; a Clemson player in the 1978 Gator Bowl. Even though Woody was a famous coach with alot of fame to his name... After that punch, old Woody was out.
