Could the Oakland A's be looking to deal P Joe Blanton?

Not according to the May 7 Contra Costa Times, which reports the following: "The Colorado Rockies, searching for some help for their starting rotation, were reportedly told by the A's that Joe Blanton isn't going anywhere right now... the Rockies were told by Oakland that Blanton, their preferred A's pitcher, is currently not available." Should the Athletics be looking to trade this kid or not?

Dpending on the deal, get rid of him. He is not the ace of a staff. He wouldn't be too hard to replace. They also have a young guy, Gio Gonzalez, that I have been hearing good things about.
