Is Mike Piazza's career over? Well, maybe, maybe not.

According to what the Yahoo! Sports rumor page said on Oct. 1, "Piazza has said in recent weeks that he was intrigued by the idea of returning for a 15th season, possibly even as a catcher in the National League... After Sunday's game, he was careful not to commit one way or another. It's all but certain that his first season with the A's will be his only one. The A's seem inclined to install Jack Cust as the full-time DH next season."

I don't know of any team that would want Piazza as their full-time catcher. But the guy can still be an imposing hitter in any line-up. All the power to him...pun intended.

He'd be good as a platooning DH against lefties. That's it.
